River Cats Drop Zephyrs, 3-1
|
Mario Correa was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Raley Field. In fact, the Sacramento River Cats right-hander was instrumental in his team's 3-1 victory over the New Orleans Zephyrs. Ossie Cabrera sewed up the save, his 2nd. Sacramento bumps their record to 24-15 with the win.
Mike Pothast aided the Sacramento cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman drew 1 walk.
"Makes our job easier," said Pothast, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
