Redbirds Fall to Chihuahuas, 8-6

El Paso and Memphis duked it out and the Chihuahuas came out victorious.
Though he had a stellar game, Scott Haight could not prevent his team, the Memphis Redbirds, from losing, 8-6, to the El Paso Chihuahuas. Haight was 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs. El Paso reliever Leo Sandoval picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Ramon Bravo was saddled with the loss.
Jaden Steinhauer hit a 2-run triple off Paulino Aldana in the top of the fifth, which put the Chihuahuas in front, 7-5. Steinhauer had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Steinhauer. "The only team that can beat us is us."
The Chihuahuas improved to 27-15.
