Bisons Pull Out Late-Game Win, 9-8
The Buffalo Bisons overcame a pretty good performance by Rochester third baseman Jim Gunst, beating the Red Wings, 9-8, at Coca-Cola Field. Gunst went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Buffalo reliever Jason Cramer picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Victor Bellido absorbed the loss. The loss lowers the Rochester record to 2-3.

Willie Ruiz was the walk-off hero for Buffalo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bisons designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Ruiz said.
