River Cats Win in Glorious Fashion, 6-5
|
Due in large part to shortstop Brad Reichle, the Sacramento River Cats sunk the Round Rock Express, 6-5. Reichle was 3-5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Matt Moore notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now sits at 4-2. Sacramento's winning streak has reached 4 games.
The decisive blow was delivered by Ron Lenz in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Justin Denton to win the game for Sacramento. The home crowd went nuts.
"The crowd lost its ever-loving mind today," said a grinning Reichle.
