The Reno Aces topped the Iowa Cubs, 8-5, with third baseman Mike Cook playing a big role. Cook was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Aces in the win. Matt Mountain picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-2. He struck out 9 in 6 innings.

Reno used the hitting of Matt Mountain to pick up the win. The pitcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Aces on top, 3-0. For the game, Mountain had 2 home runs and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
