The first-place Sacramento River Cats picked up another win.

Left-hander Kyle Zdun mesmerized the Round Rock Express while leading the Sacramento River Cats to a 3-0 victory. Mel Arreola sewed up the save, his 2nd.

Eric Mathews hit a bases-clearing triple off Brian Gottstein in the bottom of the third, which put the River Cats in front, 3-0. Mathews had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Sacramento manager Elwiin de Lange said.

Sacramento goes to 28-17. The win puts them 5 games up in their division.
