Scranton WB turned a good performance from starting pitcher Nate Merritt into a 5-2 triumph over the Pawtucket Red Sox at PNC Field. Alan Bright got the save, the 1st for him this season. The RailRiders raised their record to 2-4.

Victor Soto had a big 2-run double for the RailRiders in the bottom of the first inning. With Scranton WB leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Alberto Bustillo, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2100 draft, and swatted a double to center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the RailRiders ahead, 3-0.

"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Merritt.
