Tacoma took on Omaha in front of a lively crowd.

Tacoma third baseman Matt Augustin had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Omaha Storm Chasers, 9-3. Jimmy Cox was the winner. He's now 2-3. The loser was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Sam Leonard. Alex Guzman collected his 4th save.

Tacoma used the timely hitting of Danny Mendoza to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rainiers on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Augustin told the Tacoma Gazette.

The third-place Rainiers lifted their record to 18-27.
