The Tacoma Rainiers received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Jorge Santana, allowing them to shoot down the New Orleans Zephyrs, 5-1. The Rainiers raised their record to 20-26.

Santana earned the win to move to 2-4. In his 9-inning performance, he scattered 3 hits, striking out 8 and walking 3. The right-hander allowed the Zephyrs few scoring opportunities.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Santana.
