Chihuahuas Rally to Eke Out Win
The El Paso Chihuahuas, despite a fine performance by Nashville pitcher Wade Ray, grabbed a 3-2 win in 11 innings at Herschel Greer Stadium. Ray allowed 2 runs over 9 innings. El Paso reliever Jason Kelly was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Justin Satern. El Paso now owns a record of 22-26.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Enrique Escobar? The 29-year old second baseman Escobar stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put El Paso up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said El Paso skipper Matt Pace.
