Behind Martin, Clippers Beat Mud Hens, 1-0
|
In a tension-filled contest between the Columbus Clippers and the Toledo Mud Hens, pitcher Tom Martin was superb. The Columbus right-hander spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. Jay Pritchett was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. With the win, Columbus lifts its record to 3-3.
Martin subdued the Toledo offense. The Columbus right-hander allowed a mere 2 hits over 8 innings, while fanning 11. His season record goes to 2-0 with the win.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Martin.
