Clippers Claim 3-2 Win
Hurler Dusty Cosand gave the Columbus Clippers a solid start. The native of Summit, New Jersey helped his team defeat the Louisville Bats, 3-2, at Huntington Park. In 7 innings, Cosand surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. With the win, Columbus boosts its record to 1-5.

Jordan Randle drove in one run for Columbus. The 25-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Aaron Humphrey. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.

Afterward, Clippers manager Toby West was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
