New Orleans Dealt 8-0 Defeat
|
The Oklahoma City Dodgers thumped the New Orleans Zephyrs, 8-0, at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Keegan Huggett was a big reason his team got the win. Huggett went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Pete Bettencourt was the winning pitcher. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed no runs on 6 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts. With the win, Oklahoma City goes to 29-18, while the Zephyrs fall to 26-23.
With Oklahoma City leading 3-0 in the bottom of the third, Huggett hit a cutter from Roberto Silva for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Dodgers ahead, 7-0.
"I still think this team can play even better," Huggett told the Oklahoma City Daily.
