Trejo Helps Rainiers Beat Grizzlies, 10-8
The Tacoma Rainiers beat the Fresno Grizzlies, 10-8. Tacoma designated hitter and San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, native Erick Trejo led the way. Jimmy Cox got the win, improving to 3-3. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 15 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 2. The win puts Tacoma at 20-30.

With Tacoma leading 6-4 in the bottom of the fifth, Trejo hit a slider from Bobby Kimble for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Rainiers ahead, 9-4.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Rainiers manager Wayne Blanchard.
