Sacramento right fielder Eric Mathews was a significant contributor in his team's 6-4 triumph over the Albuquerque Isotopes. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the River Cats. Sacramento starter Kyle Zdun was credited with the win after throwing 121 pitches over 7 innings. Sacramento took a 6-4 lead on Cody Hindmon's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Hindmon hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Albuquerque pitcher Ernie Lowery visibly frustrated.

"There's a lot in this game you can't control. Just take what the game gives you. I was just doing my best to help the team win," Mathews told the Sacramento Gazette.
