Dodgers Make Sounds 4-1 Losers
|
Oklahoma City registered a win at Herschel Greer Stadium by beating the Nashville Sounds, 4-1. Pitcher Nelson Escobedo was one reason why the Dodgers triumphed. Escobedo, now 1-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 9, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. The third-place Dodgers improved to 28-21.
Eric Weter, who leads the AC in total bases with 90, took Nashville hurler Richard Rosenzweig deep in the top of the fourth. His 2-run home run put the Dodgers on top, 2-0. In all, Weter had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Oklahoma City manager Vicente Gutierrez.
