The Fresno Grizzlies locked up a win at Chukchansi Park, knocking off the Sacramento River Cats, 5-3. On the mound for Fresno was left-hander Juan Mendez. He played a major role in the triumph. Fresno is now 30-23.

The decisive blow was delivered by Giovani Cesaresco in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 24-year old left-handed pitcher Jamie Estrella to win the game for Fresno. The home crowd went nuts.

"This ballpark was lit," Cesaresco said.
