Express Earn 12-11 Win Against Zephyrs
Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Chris Majors, the New Orleans Zephyrs lost to the Round Rock Express, 12-11. Majors went 4-5 with a home run, 3 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 4 and driving in 2. Round Rock reliever Salvatore Ayala picked up the win, raising his record to 2-1. Matt Crews was tagged with the loss. The second-place Zephyrs now sit at 30-24.

The decisive blow was delivered by Nate Montanye in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a 2-run double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Matt Crews to win the game for Round Rock. The home crowd went nuts.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Montanye.
