Victor de la Rosa was a major contributor to the 10-4 Tacoma win over Reno. The Rainiers first baseman went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The defeat makes Reno 23-32.

Tacoma used a well-timed hit by Nick Vargas to capture the win. The center fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put the Rainiers ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"This is a very good team," said de la Rosa. "We have the chance to do something special."
