The Reno Aces had to overcome a fine performance from Tacoma pitcher Ernie Lydon to grab a 1-0 win at Aces Ballpark. Lydon allowed 1 run over 8 innings. Chris Schoch, the winner, goes to 2-8. He allowed no runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts over 7.1 innings. Jim Unknown got credit for the save for Reno. It was his 1st of the year.

The Aces got a big at-bat from catcher Giovanni Foreman. For the game, Foreman was 1-2 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Reno a 1-0 lead.
