Tomas Pineda helped his team muscle past the Reno Aces, 11-4. In the game, the El Paso second baseman went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The win was credited to 29-year old right-handed pitcher Kyle Pierce in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Tyler Taylor took the loss. The third-place Chihuahuas are now 27-28, the Aces 23-32.

El Paso used a clutch at-bat from Ben Culligan to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Chihuahuas ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
