Reading Fightin Phils starter David Pico found his groove in his team's 7-4 win over the Hartford Yard Goats. The save was credited to Alan Ziemer, his 2nd. The win moves Reading to a record of 5-2.

Reading first baseman Danny Perez helped the Fightin Phils go up, 4-3, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Perez hit a run-scoring single off Hartford pitcher Danny Rodrigues.
