Late Rally by Bees Secures 4-3 Win
|
Salt Lake right-hander Vic Correa pitched his team to victory over the Sacramento River Cats at Raley Field. The final score was 4-3. Micah Blanton got the save, the 2nd for him this season. With the win, Salt Lake has a record of 27-29. Sacramento falls to 33-23.
Salt Lake used the timely hitting of Jake Foster to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bees on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We had a good game plan," Correa said, "and we were able to execute it."
