Luke Reinkemeyer led Sacramento to a win over Salt Lake. The final score was 8-3. The Rapid City, South Dakota native collected 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. The winning pitcher was Doug Martin. His record now stands at 2-1. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits for the River Cats.

Juan Cortez had a big 3-run home run for the River Cats in the bottom of the second inning. With Sacramento leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Drew Greenwell, who is tied for 7th in the PC in quality starts with 6, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the River Cats on top, 5-1.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Reinkemeyer.

Sacramento, now 31-26, holds down second place in the Pacific Conference North Division.
