The Fresno Grizzlies beat the Sacramento River Cats, 5-2, at Chukchansi Park. Fresno right fielder Matt Carocci had an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Fresno is now 24-34, while Sacramento is 38-20.

With Fresno leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Carocci hit a curveball from Steve Powers for a 2-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Grizzlies ahead, 3-0.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Carocci.
