Sacramento Wins, 5-4, Behind 2 Floyd Home Runs
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Sacramento River Cats and Fresno Grizzlies.

Sacramento beat Fresno at Chukchansi Park, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to catcher Joe Floyd. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Rod Strader picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-1. He struck out 5 in 6.2 innings. Jason Cranford recorded the save, his 2nd.

Floyd had a timely hit for Sacramento in the top of the sixth. With Sacramento trailing 4-3, he turned a 1-0 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 5-4, Sacramento.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said River Cats manager Elwiin de Lange, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."

With the win over Fresno, the River Cats improved to 37-21.
