The Round Rock Express knocked off the Oklahoma City Dodgers, 5-3, in American Conference action at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Round Rock pitcher and San Gregorio de Nigua, Dominican Republic, native Rod Pineda had an outstanding performance. The first-place Express improved to 32-27.

Round Rock won the game in part because of Justin Mathieu. The second baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Express ahead, 5-1. For the game, Mathieu had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Pineda.
