The Reno Aces beat the Sacramento River Cats, 8-3, at Raley Field. Tim Kase, who is tied for 7th in the PC in triples with 3, starred for Reno. He went 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Reno pitcher Nick Stephens got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Rod Strader got the loss. The Aces raised their record to 25-34.

With Reno leading 5-2 in the top of the seventh, Kase hit a fastball from Mel Arreola for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Aces ahead, 8-2.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Kase said in reaction to the win.
