Bertoluchi Delivers Walk-Off Win for Grizzlies
Sacramento got a terrific game from first baseman Willie Verduzco. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Fresno, 8-7, in 11 innings. Verduzco was 5-5 with 5 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Fresno reliever Marcos Zamora got the win, raising his record to 4-3. Nick Woods was tagged with the loss. The Grizzlies, now 32-27, have won 4 in a row.

The decisive blow was delivered by Orazio Bertoluchi in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 28-year old left-handed pitcher Nick Woods to win the game for Fresno. The home crowd went nuts.

Bertoluchi described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
