Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Sacramento River Cats and Reno Aces.

The Sacramento River Cats, behind a great outing from Gene Jones, who is tied for 4th in the PC in strikeouts with 80, defeated the Reno Aces, 1-0, at Raley Field. Zach Lee earned the save for Sacramento, his 4th of the year.

Sacramento starter Gene Jones was exceptional. The 6-foot-1 left-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8.1 innings of work.

"Felt great, felt really good," said Jones.

Sacramento has a record of 35-25, placing them first in the Pacific Conference North Division.
