Isotopes Pick Up 4-2 Win Over El Paso
Albuquerque and El Paso got after it at Southwest University park.

Albuquerque picked up a win at Southwest University park, bumping off the El Paso Chihuahuas, 4-2. Pitcher Derek Fauntleroy was a major reason the Isotopes emerged victorious. After today's action, Albuquerque sits at 34-27, while El Paso falls to 33-28.

Albuquerque relied on the hitting of Josue Lopez to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Isotopes on top, 4-0. For the game, Lopez had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said El Paso skipper Tyler Beckwith, "and it cost us."
