The El Paso Chihuahuas downed the Las Vegas 51s, 7-5. The hitting star was pinch hitter Victor Carrillo. Carrillo went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Chihuahuas. El Paso reliever Ben Memon picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Jose Garza was saddled with the loss. Aaron D'Uva closed it out for his 2nd save.

Carrillo had a timely hit for El Paso in the top of the eighth. With Las Vegas trailing 5-4, he turned a 1-0 changeup into a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 7-5, El Paso.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Carrillo.

With the win, El Paso goes to 34-28, while the 51s fall to 32-30.
