Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Round Rock Express and Nashville Sounds.

The Round Rock Express defeated the Nashville Sounds, 8-2, at Herschel Greer Stadium. Sal Sandoval produced 2 singles and 1 double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 1. With the victory, the Express upped their record to 33-29.

Round Rock used a well-timed hit by Pat Crofton to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Express ahead, 6-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Nashville skipper Mauricio Soto.
