|
Las Vegas rode a decent outing from starter Nick Tracey to victory over the El Paso Chihuahuas. The final score was 7-2. Tracey picked up the win for Las Vegas, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. Jose Garza notched his 4th save in 5 chances.
Edwin de Santiago had a big 2-run home run for the 51s in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Las Vegas trailing 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a sinker from Pablo Romero and swatted a home run to left. It was his 7th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the 51s ahead, 2-1.
"I just tried to make good contact," said de Santiago.
