Behind the hitting of Matt Wilkins, the Reno Aces stopped the El Paso Chihuahuas, 7-4. Wilkins went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs for the Aces. Eric Patterson finished to wrap up his 1st save. Reno is now 29-35, while El Paso is 30-34.

It could have been a different outcome for Reno, had it not been for Geer Bosman, the 25-year old first baseman . Bosman contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Reno up, 7-3.

In postgame remarks to the Reno Chronicle, Wilkins was in a reflective mood. "Sometimes," he said, "I can't believe my good luck. Playing a game and making a living at it."
