The Omaha Storm Chasers topped the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 5-2, with youngster Bobby Ruiz playing a key role. Ruiz went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Storm Chasers in the win. Picking up the save was fireballing right-hander Dallas Roden. The Storm Chasers have now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Omaha took a 4-1 lead on Ruiz's 15th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Dennis Oliveri in the top of the seventh, propelled Omaha to the win.
