Storm Chasers Win at New Orleans, 10-3
The Omaha Storm Chasers coasted to a win over the New Orleans Zephyrs, 10-3. Trent Poynter had a good day at the plate for Omaha. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Omaha reliever Jim Connell picked up the win, upping his record to 1-4. Joe Allen took the loss. With the win, the Storm Chasers have a record of 33-34.

Had Blake Linden not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Linden hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Storm Chasers.

"I really like what we did out there today," Linden said after the game.
