El Paso Shut Out by Houston
|
Tommy Houston was dynamite at Southwest University park, blowing away the El Paso Chihuahuas in a shutout victory. The Tacoma Rainiers starter had everything working as he held the Chihuahuas to 3 hits in the 5-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said El Paso skipper Matt Pace. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Houston finished the game with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Currently Houston has a 4-1 won-lost record in 7 starts with a 3.16 ERA. He also has 44 strikeouts in 51.1 innings.
