The Tacoma Rainiers got a superb performance from pitcher Adrian Pendleton, but the El Paso Chihuahuas still won the game, 6-2. Pendleton threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. El Paso reliever Danny Gonzalez picked up the win, while Adrian Pendleton took the loss for Tacoma. El Paso bumps their record to 31-36 with the win.

Grant Kern had a big bases-clearing triple for the Chihuahuas in the bottom of the fifth inning. With El Paso trailing 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Adrian Pendleton, who is tied for 2nd in the PC with a 10.1 K/9 rate, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chihuahuas ahead, 3-2.

Kern told a El Paso Gazette reporter that he was "delighted" with the win.
