Mud Hens Top Louisville, 4-3
|
The Louisville Bats got a sterling performance from pitcher Dan Berry, but the Toledo Mud Hens still prevailed, 4-3. Berry threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs. Toledo pitcher Roberto Perez got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Willie Morel got the loss. With the win, Toledo lifts its record to 5-3.
Toledo went in front, 4-3, on Josh Skinner's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Skinner hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Louisville pitcher Willie Morel visibly perturbed.
Said losing manager Isaac Moles: "Not taking anything away from them, but we swung the bats better than what it showed."
