The Reno Aces claimed a close win over the Salt Lake Bees, due in large part to Arturo Ventura. The Reno right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. The Aces, at 30-38, sit in second place in the Pacific Conference North Division.

Reno took a 2-1 lead on Matt Wilkins's 9th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Wilkins hit in the top of the ninth, left Salt Lake pitcher Jeff Lehman visibly frustrated.

"Arturo did a good job of shutting their lineup down," said Reno manager Tyler Ketchum.
