Albuquerque starter Dan Poff pitched well against the Sacramento River Cats at Isotopes Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. The defeat makes Sacramento 41-27.

The River Cats had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Isotopes going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old third baseman Troy Janssen came to the plate. Janssen hit a 2-run home run on a 1-0 fastball from Sacramento hurler Brian McQuain. It was Janssen's 7th home run of the year.

"I still think this team can play even better," Janssen told the Albuquerque Bulletin.
