The New Hampshire Fisher Cats got a superb performance from pitcher Alex Romero, but the Richmond Flying Squirrels still won the game, 3-2. Romero threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. New Hampshire is 0-7 after the defeat.

The Flying Squirrels procured the win, in large part because of pinch hitter Carlos Rodriguez. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Rodriguez said.
