Knights Eke Out 5-4 Win Versus Gwinnett
|
Behind the hitting of Tyrell Hall, the Charlotte Knights defeated the Gwinnett Braves, 5-4. Hall went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Knights. Bill Van Norden earned the win for Charlotte. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 9. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. Joe Roe closed it out for his 2nd save.
Jonathan Sharp hit a 2-run double off Mike Phelan in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Knights in front, 4-2. In addition to the double, Sharp had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
