The El Paso Chihuahuas had to overcome a big game from Reno designated hitter Dave Gonzales to leave Aces Ballpark with a victory. And they did, winning, 5-4. Gonzales belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Mark Grantham picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 7-0. Ryan Pfaltzgraff suffered the loss. El Paso has 3 straight wins, Reno 3 straight losses.

El Paso used the hitting of Darric Kane to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Chihuahuas on top, 2-1. For the game, Kane had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
