Reno pitcher Nick Stephens did his part in helping his team beat the El Paso Chihuahuas, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Picking up the save was David Nickerson, his 6th. Reno currently is in last place in the Pacific Conference North Division at 31-38.

Alvin Hessong was 2-3 with 2 singles for Reno. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Hessong, who is tied for 7th in the PC in runs scored with 37, had a clutch at-bat. Facing El Paso hurler Travis LeBlanc, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Aces a 4-3 lead.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Stephens.
