The Colorado Springs Sky Sox and Omaha Storm Chasers provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Omaha Storm Chasers picked up a win at Werner Park, taking down the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 6-5. Starting pitcher Matt Poerio was a big reason why. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Joaquin Huerta.

Omaha left fielder David Bazley contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball into left field for a 2-run single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Storm Chasers ahead, 6-3.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Bazley told the Omaha Bulletin.

The Storm Chasers sit in third place in the American Conference North Division with a record of 35-35.
