Sky Sox Rally For 5-2 Win
|
Werner Park was the site for American Conference action featuring the Omaha Storm Chasers and Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox topped the Omaha Storm Chasers, 5-2, in American Conference action at Werner Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Colorado Springs pitcher Eric Lawrence. Colorado Springs now has a record of 39-30 with the win.
Colorado Springs used a clutch hit from Tony Graham to get the win. The left fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Sky Sox ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"They played a better game than we did," said Omaha skipper Scott Davis.
