Salt Lake and Sacramento got after it at Raley Field.
The Salt Lake Bees grabbed a win, 6-2, over the Sacramento River Cats at Raley Field. Salt Lake designated hitter Fernando Gonzalez went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. The second-place Bees are 39-32.
Salt Lake used a well-timed hit by T.J. Willis to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Bees ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Gonzalez told the Salt Lake Today. "But we take nothing for granted."
