The timely hitting of Nate Strother helped the Sacramento River Cats down the Salt Lake Bees, 7-2. Strother went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the River Cats. Doug Martin, who is tied for 9th in the PC in complete games with 1, was the winner. He's now 4-2. The loser was Drew Greenwell. At 37-35, the River Cats are currently second in the Pacific Conference North Division.

In the bottom of the third, Strother had a 3-run home run for Sacramento. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the River Cats on top, 4-2.
