Rainiers Take Tight Tilt
|
Tacoma Rainiers starter Jose Rebolloso was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Sacramento River Cats, 2-1. Jason Jones was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 7 save opportunities. The win for the Rainiers raised their record to 37-36.
Tacoma used a clutch hit from Jeff Gerdom to get the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rainiers ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Tacoma skipper Tyler Myers. "I can't complain."
