The Reno Aces and Sacramento River Cats played an entertaining game for Aces Ballpark patrons.

Reno beat Sacramento at Aces Ballpark, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to center fielder Alvin Hessong. He went 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Nick Stephens was the winner. Over 8 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 8 strikeouts.

Hessong contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Reno in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-2, Hessong took a fastball from Rod Strader and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Aces to leap in front, 5-3.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Hessong.

The third-place Aces have won 4 in a row.
