Tacoma and Fresno duked it out and the Rainiers came out victorious.

Andy Alford was instrumental in his team's 8-6 triumph over the Fresno Grizzlies. The second baseman went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs for the Tacoma Rainiers. Alan Weirauch picked up the save for Tacoma, his 1st of the year.

Victor Jimenez had a big 2-run home run for the Rainiers in the top of the first inning. With Tacoma leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a cutter from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Cao-Ky Tran-Thanh and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Rainiers on top, 3-0.

"Feels good to get the job done," Jimenez said after the game.

The losing streak for Fresno has now reached 4 games.
