The El Paso Chihuahuas scored a tight 3-2 win versus the Albuquerque Isotopes at Southwest University park. El Paso pitcher Aaron Padron held his own in the contest. Padron got the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 8.1 innings. Padron allowed 2 runs. John Elliott was credited with the save, his 1st in 2 tries.

Avery Thomas, who is tied for 7th in the PC in stolen bases with 9, helped out the El Paso cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.

"It feels good to get this one," Padron told the El Paso Herald.

El Paso goes to 42-34, Albuquerque to 43-33.
